What is Tai Chi and Qigong?

Tai Chi is one of the most effective exercises for our holistic wellbeing and wellness of our mind, body and spirit.  It is a gentle and graceful internal martial art practiced by people of all ages around the world.  Qigong (pronounced “chee gung”) means Energy Practice or Cultivation.

Based on ancient Chinese health cultivation practices, philosophies and Traditional Chinese Medicine, both Qigong and Tai Chi exercises help balance and circulate intrinsic life-force energy - Qi - through the body promoting vitality and rejuvenation. 

Today there is a wealth of scientific and medical research onthe amazing health benefits from practising Tai Chi and Qigong and it is no wonder why many health practitioners highly recommend this Art to their clients.

Often called “Meditation-In-Motion” Tai Chi and Qigong are antidotes for stress and modern lifestyle challenges!

Do I need any previous experience in Tai Chi or Qigong to join the club?

Not at all!  Newbies to the well-versed are all welcome.

 

How long do classes go for?

Regular classes run for about an hour.  Private lessons can be longer.  Workshops are normally for 4-5 hours.

 

What will I need to bring to lessons?

Wear comfy clothes and shoes.  Bring some H20.
